A useful client record should be quick to update and rich enough to guide the next conversation. Which fields earn their place? I am testing a lightweight set that includes contact details, relationship owner, status, preferred channel, last interaction, next action, due date, open commitments, and a two-sentence context note. I am also considering a section for goals, success measures, and potential risks. How do you balance completeness with speed? Do you keep separate records for stakeholders within one account, or maintain a single summary? What fields become stale first, and how do you review them? Please share examples of good status labels and date rules that make sorting easy. I would love to see a minimal version and a more detailed version, with notes on when each is appropriate. Practical advice from teams of different sizes is especially welcome.
